Lockport Township Clerk Will Run For Will County Clerk

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township Clerk Denise Mushro Rumchak has announced her candidacy for Will County Clerk. Nancy Schultz Voots, the current Will County Clerk, will retire in 2018 after serving as clerk for 16 years.

WJOL reported that Rumchak, a Democrat, is a lifelong resident of Lockport and Will County and Rumchak told WJOL she is excited about this new endeavor.

According to Lockport Township's website, Rumchak's current duties as clerk include: being the custodian of records, responsible for township meetings/minutes, road district clerk, being an election official, and responsible for giving notice of meetings.
