Lockport Welcomes Several New Businesses To Town

Several new businesses have opened in Lockport over the past few months.

LOCKPORT, IL — Over the summer, the city of Lockport welcomed several new businesses to town. In the town's fall newsletter, Mayor Steven Streit gave some information about the newest businesses.

In Lockport's 159th Street corridor, Christian Brothers Automotive, NAPA Auto PArts and DuPage Medical group all opened this summer.

In July, La Michoacana Del Valle, a Mexican restaurant, opened at 1250 E. Ninth Street. The newsletter states the restaurant specializes in tacos and ice cream. Another restaurant in the same corridor, Zaap Zaap Thai, which features authentic Thai cuisine, opened in August. The restaurant is located at 1151 E. Ninth St.

On State Street, several businesses also opened. Country Financial opened in July at 827 S. State St. Wings Dance Studio, located at 940 N. State St., which offers dance training, opened in June. Lastly, Made For Me Boutique, a clothing store, opened at 905 S. State St. in July.

For future openings, the newsletter states Sugaristas Bakery will be opening soon at 1022 S. State St.

Finally, Tangled Roots microbrewery and its restaurant, Lock and Mule, is expected to open in February.
