Lockport Will Terminate Waste Water Agreement With Homer Glen In 2030
The agreement for waste water services began in 2018.
LOCKPORT, IL — At Wednesday's meeting, the Lockport City Council approved an official notice of intent for the termination of waste water services agreement with Homer Glen. The agreement will be terminated in 2030.
Lockport and Homer Glen first entered into the agreement in 2019, after a request for support of Homer Glen development east of Gougar Road and north of 159th Street, according to council documents.
Lockport will no longer be able to serve the area because the Bonnie Brae Sanitary District waste water facility is "beyond its useful life," council documents state.

The facility needs to be converted into a. lift station, which will redirect flows to the Division Street plant, which is currently undergoing an expansion.
