2 Kids Hurt, Lockport Woman Faces Aggravated DUI After Cedar Road Wreck: Sheriff's Office
Jenna Crohan, 34, comes from the 300 block of Lockport's East Division Street. She was freed from Will County's Jail around 4 p.m. Monday.

LOCKPORT, IL — A 34-year-old Lockport woman from the 300 block of East Division Street has been freed from the Will County Jail following her weekend incarceration by the Will County Sheriff's Office on felony drunken driving offenses.
Monday's criminal complaint for Jenna Crohan shows she is being charged with four counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the complaint, Crohan was driving a Volkswagen sport utility vehicle while under the influence of alcohol as she traveled along Homer Glen's stretch of Cedar Road when she was involved in a collision with another motorist that resulted in bodily harm, but not great bodily harm, to a child under the age of 16. The child was being transported by Crohan at the time of her wreck, and "said violation was the proximate cause of the injury," the Will County State's Attorney's Office outlined.

One of the charges indicates that Crohan's crash resulted in bodily harm, but not great bodily harm, to a different child under the age of 16 "being transported by the defendant and said violation was the proximate cause of the injury."
According to Will County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Elizabeth Matthews, around 8:30 p.m. on May 30, the Will County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the intersection of South Cedar Road and West Bruce Road for a crash with injuries.

The deputies found 34-year-old Jenna Crohan along with two young children under the age of 16, one of which was being checked out by Homer Fire. The car, driven by Crohan, was about 100 feet off the right side of the roadway for northbound Cedar Road and had front and undercarriage damage and the moonroof and windshield were shattered.
Matthews noted that Crohan and the two children were transported by Homer Fire to a local hospital for treatment. The sheriff's deputies noticed Crohan's eyes to be bloodshot and an odor of an alcoholic-based beverage emanating from her breath. She also admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages, the agency revealed.
The children were placed in the care of a family member, following their brief hospital visit and DCFS was contacted due to the crash and arrest of Crohan.
She was booked at the jail and will be back in court on June 16 at 9 a.m. in room 202 of the Will County Courthouse.
Court documents indicate that Crohan was not charged with a detainable offense pursuant to the Illinois SAFE-T Act. As a result, Will County Judge Donald DeWilkins released her from custody and notified her that she must be back at the Will County Courthouse for her next pretrial hearing on June 18 in Courtroom 405 of Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak.
The judge's order releasing her from the Will County Jail indicates that the Lockport woman must "comply with any and all DCFS recommendations."
