Lockport World War II Days: Schedule, Entertainment

This year, there will be a new Vietnam Living History as well as a Civil War Living History.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township Park District's annual World War II Days will return to Dellwood Park on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8. This year, there will be a new Vietnam Living History as well as a Civil War Living History. The event includes entertainment, a food court, beer garden, and more.

There is also a Veteran Hospitality tent at the event which is open from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the beer garden. All veterans are welcome and can enjoy free food and beverages.

Depending on weather, there could also be flyovers at the event. According to the park district, the schedule for World War II Days is:

Saturday, Sept. 7

  • 9:30 a.m., park opens
  • 10:15 a.m., "The Tonetts" perform at the Performing Arts Center
  • 11:30 a.m., battle at the battlefield
  • 12:30 p.m., Civil War Artillery Demonstration
  • 1 p.m., "Sweet Reminder"
  • 3 p.m., Battle at the battlefield, and field hospital demo at German camps
  • 4 p.m., Music and dance lessions of the era, featuring "Grand Avenue Big Band"
  • 5 p.m., WWII Girls Baseball Living History Demo
  • 6:30 p.m., Vietnam bridge skirmish
  • 7:30 p.m., Civil War Artillery bridge skirmish
  • 8 p.m., USO Show featuring "Silver Bullet"
  • 10:30 p.m., park closes

Sunday, Sept. 8
