Lockport's Christmas In The Square Returns Nov. 25

LOCKPORT, IL — The City of Lockport's Christmas in the Square event will ring in the holiday season on Nov. 25 at Central Square, 222 E. Ninth St. The tree lighting will conclude the event at 4:30 p.m.

According to the City, the holiday event will feature visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus and other holiday characters. Families can also pay live reindeer a visit.

There will be balloon artists, kids crafts, a Santa letter station, stilt walker and holiday-lighted structures.

Food will be available for purchase from Avocado Theory, Beanie's Candy, Creamery, Mr. Salty, Ninja Girl Coffee, Springview Sweets and Villa Nova Pizza.

Guests can also check out the artificial ice rink, a snowball fight field and a giant snow globe. Ice sculpture demonstrations will begin at 1 p.m., and there will be entertainment throughout the event from Dicken's Carolers, WINGS Dance Studio and story time with the White Oak Library.

The event will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 25.
