LTHS East To Move To 8-Period School Day With Start Of New School Year
This will align both LTHS campuses under the same daily schedule, the District said.
LOCKPORT, IL — When the new school year begins in August, there will be two big changes at Lockport Township High School, the District shared in a news release.
Starting in August, students at East Campus will transition to an 8-period school day. This will align both LTHS campuses under the same daily schedule, the District said.
"The new schedule is designed to provide greater flexibility, expanded course opportunities, and a more consistent student experience across the district," the District said.

LTHS will also start a new Student Services model. Through a "looping" approach, students will remain with the same dedicated Student Services Team—including a school counselor, school social worker, and dean—as they progress from freshman year through graduation, the District said.
"This model is intended to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and provide more personalized support throughout each student's high school experience," a news release states.
