LTHS Engineering Students Honored By Board Of Education

The students were honored for their accomplishments at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Science Opportunity Conference in November.

LOCKPORT, IL — Three Lockport Township High School students were recognized for engineering accomplishments at the most recent Board of Education meeting in December.

LTHS Engineering students Allison McNulty, Matthew Handzel and Charles Pluth were honored by the board at the Dec. 19 meeting for their accomplishments at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Science Opportunity Conference in November.

In the board meeting brief video, Superintendent Bob McBride said the students were part of a regional conference and regional test-taking, where they scored and placed "amazingly."

McNulty placed first in chemistry; Handzel placed third in physics, first in biology and first place overall; and Pluth placed third in physics.
