LTHS Football Playoffs: Porters Face Glenbard West In 2nd Round

LOCKPORT, IL — After last week's victory against Lyons Township High School, the Lockport Township High School boys' football team have advanced to the second round of the IHSA Class 8A playoffs.

Lockport defeated Lyons Township 35-10 in the first round of playoffs, according to the IHSA website.

Now, the Porters will face off against Glenbard West at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at LTHS, according to the IHSA website. Glenbard West is 8-2, while Lockport is 9-1.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs and face the winner of the Warren High School and Glenbard North match-up.

Lockport has had its best season in years, and has only one loss against Lincoln-Way East High School.

The championship match for Class 8A will be held Nov. 27 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.
