LTHS Football Playoffs: Porters Face Loyola Academy In Semifinals

The Porters will face off against Loyola Academy at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Loyola.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township High School boys' football team has advanced to the semifinals of the IHSA Class 8A playoffs after last week's victory over Glenbard North.

The Porters defeated Glenbard North 28-22 in the quarterfinals of playoffs, according to IHSA results.

Now, the Porters will face off against Loyola Academy at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Loyola, according to the IHSA website. Lockport is 11-1, and Loyola is 12-0.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the Class 8A state championship game and will face the winner of the Maine South and Marist match-up.

Lockport has had its best season in years, and has only one loss against Lincoln-Way East High School.

The championship game for Class 8A will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 27 at Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.
