LTHS Plans Eighth Annual Veterans Night Celebration

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School will hold its eighth annual Veterans Night celebration at the school's basketball game on Dec. 2.

The school's annual event invites all veterans to attend an evening in their honor at the LTHS East Gym, according to the school.

Veterans and their families members can come to the front entrance at 5:30 p.m., and will be admitted free of charge. Veterans will then be escorted to a meeting area where they can mingle and enjoy a sandwich and water, according to the school.

Before the basketball game, at 6:10 p.m., veterans will be escorted onto the court, recognized individually and can hold the American flag as it is unfurled on the court for the National Anthem, the school said.

Veterans will receive a T-shirt, and can enjoy the basketball game against Lincoln-Way West.
