LTHS Plans Ninth Annual Veterans Night Celebration
The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1 at LTHS, 1333 E. Seventh St., before the boys basketball game.
LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School will host its ninth annual Veterans Night celebration on Dec. 1, before the boys basketball game at 6 p.m.
The celebration will feature over 100 veterans, including one World War II veteran and three Korean War veterans, according to the school. All veterans are invited to attend the special evening, free of charge for themselves and family members.

Before the game against Lincoln-Way East High School, each veteran will receive a boxed meal, T-shirt, and a card of gratitude from students. The JROTC will be provided by Constantine Tsoukatos, Lieutenant Colonel U.S. Air Force retiree and JROTC Instructor at Lincoln-Way Central/West High School, according to the school.
The event will include bagpipers, and each veteran will be introduced before the game. The ceremony will run for approximately 30 minutes, the school said.

After the ceremony, veterans and their families or friends are welcome to enjoy the basketball game as guests of LTHS.
