LTHS Student Named 2021 National Merit Semifinalist
LTHS' Austin Molitor has been named a National Merit Semifinalist.
LOCKPORT, IL — The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names Wednesday of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, including one semifinalist from Lockport Township High School.

The nationwide pool of 16,000 semifinalists, which represents less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state, according to a news release.

Semifinalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program have an opportunity to continue in the competition for about 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth a total of more than $30 million that will be awarded next spring.
