LTHS Students Advance To IDEA State Competition

38 LTHS students participated at regional competition at Joliet Junior College.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School District 205 will be well-represented at the upcoming Illinois Design Educators Association state championship competition after advancing from the recent regional competition where 38 LTHS students participated, according to a news release from the District.

Design and drafting students from six schools in the Joliet Junior College district/region participated in the regional competition this year.

The competition includes computer-aided design contests, where students were given a drawing problem to solve and draw within a two-hour time limit. In the team divisions, students were presented with a design problem in January to solve and then present their solutions, the District said.
