LTHS Students Head Back To School Aug. 16
There is just under a month before LTHS students return to class.
LOCKPORT, IL — Although it may not seem like it, there's just under a month before Lockport Township High School students head back to school on Aug. 16.
There are still a few weeks to enjoy summer, but as we get closer to the start of the school year, here's a look at what dates you should know for the 2022-23 school calendar.
- Aug. 15 - Teacher Institute Day, no school
- Aug. 16 - Student first day of attendance
- Sept. 5 - Labor Day, no school
- Sept. 19-24 - Homecoming Week
- Oct. 7 - Teacher Institute Day, no school
- Oct. 10 - Columbus Day, no school
- Nov. 7 - Parent/teacher conference, early dismissal
- Nov. 8 - Election Day, no school
- Nov. 23 - No School
- Nov. 24 - Thanksgiving, no school
- Nov. 25 - No School
- Dec. 22 - First semester ends
- Dec. 23 - Winter break begins
- Jan. 9 - Teacher Institute Day, no school
- Jan. 10 - Students return, second semester begins
- Jan. 16 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school
- Feb. 18 - TWIRP Dance
- Feb. 20 - Presidents' Day, no school
- March 3 - Teacher Institute, no school
