Lupine Montessori Pays Tribute to Maria Montessori
Maria Montessori developed what is known today as the Montessori Method
This month, Lupine Montessori School in Lockport will pay tribute to Italian scientist and pioneer, Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori was born on August 31st and developed what is known today as the Montessori Method.
To celebrate the 140th anniversary of Montessori’s birth, students from ages 3-14 will study the land and culture of Italy, prepare traditional Italian foods, and send cards and letters to students at other Montessori schools across the globe. Students in the multi-age classrooms will also have the opportunity to learn more about the history of Europe and share what they’ve learned with each other.
