Man Charged After Battering, Strangling Woman In Lockport Home

The woman also had a bloody nose, a broken tooth and several other facial injuries.

LOCKPORT, IL — A Joliet man was arrested Tuesday after battering a woman in a Lockport home, police said. Bryan Wiley, 33, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, DUI and driving with an expired driver's license.

Lockport Police said they were called to a home in the 17400 block of South Teton Circle at 8:28 p.m. Tuesday for a report of domestic battery. When officers arrived, a witness told them that a man was inside battering a woman. Officers approached the home, and a man now identified as Wiley exited the home and was detained.

Police said they entered the home and found a 45-year-old woman with a bloody nose, a broken tooth and several other facial injuries. Police said she had also been strangled for a short period of time. She was taken to Silver Cross Hospital by the Lockport Township Fire Protection District for treatment of her injuries.

Wiley was placed under arrest for aggravated domestic battery and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. As of Thursday, Wiley remains there with bail set at $40,000.
