Neighborhood Shopping Center Approved In Homer Glen
The plaza will consist of eight buildings, including two restaurants.

HOMER GLEN, IL — The village of Homer Glen board recently approved a commercial development at the southwest corner of 143rd Street and South Bell Road. According to board documents, Poplar Property Group will build a 44,681 square foot neighborhood shopping center consisting of eight buildings called the Homer Glen Bell Plaza.
The project will be built in three phases, with the first phase beginning hopefully this spring, according to Economic Development Director Janie Patch. The first phase should be completed by the end of the year, and then the developer could move forward with phase 2.
The first phase will include three buildings, two buildings in phase 2 and three buildings in phase 3. One restaurant will be built in phase 1 and another will be built in phase 2, according to board documents.

"This development will bring more focus on Homer Glen with other businesses and retailers we'd like to attract," Patch said.
Although there has been no official announcement on what businesses will be in the plaza, several leases are very close to being executed, Patch said.
