Oak Prairie Eighth Grade Girls Volleyball Takes Third In State
Oak Prairie faced Edwardsville's Lincoln in the third-place game, and won 25-19, 25-15.
LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport's Oak Prairie Junior High eighth grade girls' volleyball team took third place at the IESA Class 4A state tournament, which was held March 20-21 at Morton Junior High.
"Eighth Grade Volleyball is bringing home some hardware!!! Third place in state!! What a team! What a season," the school shared on its Facebook page.
Oak Prairie advanced to the state tournament by winning its regional and sectional. The team won in the first round, 25-18, 25-16, against Arlington Heights' Thomas.

Lockport lost in the semi-finals to Morton JHS, 18-25, 17-25, according to IESA. Oak Prairie faced Edwardsville's Lincoln in the third-place game, and won 25-19, 25-15.
