Over 1,600 Customers Without Power In Lockport After Wednesday's Storms

More severe weather is expected Thursday.

LOCKPORT, IL — After severe weather on Wednesday, over 1,600 homes remain without power in Lockport and Lockport Township.

More severe weather is expected Thursday.

According to the ComEd outage map, 1,444 customers are affected by power outages in Lockport and 206 customers are affected in Lockport Township. There are 49 reported outages.

On its website, ComEd said crews are working to restore outages across the Chicago area.

"Based on the history of similar storms of this size, across the ComEd service area, we expect 80 percent of outages to be restored by Saturday, June 13, at 11 p.m.," ComEd said.
