Overnight Garage Fire Damages Home, Closes 159th Street

HOMER GLEN, IL - A three car attached garage caught on fire early this morning, also causing damage to an unoccupied house undergoing renovation. Due to the fire, 159th Street was closed while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

Fire departments responded to the fire at approximately 3 a.m. this morning in the 16500 block of 159th Street in unincorporated Homer Township. According to Homer Township Fire Department, no injuries have been reported.

The fire department said the case is under investigation at this time.
