Part Of Hamilton Street Near Downtown Lockport Closes For Construction

LOCKPORT, IL — The south leg of Hamilton Street at Ninth Street near downtown Lockport is closed for construction, the City shared on its Facebook.

The closure started Monday and will last through June 30.

A signed detour route will be in place during construction, the City said.

Access to the public parking lot on Hamilton Street will remain open throughout the project.

"Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution and patience when entering and exiting the lot during construction. The City appreciates your patience and understanding as these important improvements are completed," the City said.
