Police Look To ID Vandals After Museum Damage
The Lockport Police Department is investigating an incident of criminal damage to property at the Heritage Village.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department is investigating an incident of criminal damage to property at the Heritage Village. The damage occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. Police said several rocks were thrown at and through windows of three buildings within the Will County Historical Museum site.
A post from the Will County Historical Museum and Research Center also shared that both the windows and the original frames were destroyed in the school and farm house. The visitor center's door window was also smashed and the museum will need a new door. The capstones on the donor wall were removed and smashed as well.
"We are now asking for donations to get this dealt with before the snow flies, as our deductible is quite high. Send donations to WCHS, 803 S. State St. Lockport, IL 60441 or call during normal working hours to donate via credit card," the post read.

The Investigations Division is looking to identify the two subjects shown in these still images, which were captured by a nearby camera. Anyone who can identify these subjects, or knows those responsible for the damage is asked to contact the Lockport Police Department Investigations Division at (815) 838-2132 or detectives@lockportpolice.info.
