Police Pursuit Caused Overnight Closures On I-355: Police

LOCKPORT, IL — Interstate 355 was closed overnight due to a police pursuit through the area, according to Illinois State Police. The Hobart, Indiana police department pursued a vehicle through the area just after midnight on Saturday, police said.

I-355 was closed from Interstate 80 to 143rd Street, according to police.

Illinois State Police assisted Hobart police, but referred further questions through Hobart. Police did not say the reason for the pursuit or if offenders were taken into custody.

Police said all lanes of I-355 reopened at 3:51 a.m. Saturday.
