Power Outage Near Franklin Street After Car Hits Pole
ComEd is at the scene and estimates repairs to be completed within 6 to 8 hours, police said.
LOCKPORT, IL — Residents in the area of Franklin Street are without power Friday after a pole was hit by a vehicle, according to ComEd.
The power outage is in the area of Franklin north to Eighth Street and Hamilton Street west to State Street, according to Lockport Police. ComEd is at the scene and estimates repairs to be completed within 6 to 8 hours, police said.
Those in need of cooling assistance can go to the Lockport Police Department, 1212 S. Farrell Road, or the Lockport Township building, 1463 S. Farrell Road. If you need emergency transportation to either locations and "all other means have been exhausted," you can request transportation through 911, according to Lockport Police.
