PureFest 2019 Announces Dates for 2nd Annual Faith-Based Festival

PureFest will return for its second year in 2019. After a successful inaugural event in October, organizers announced just after Thanksgiving that the festival featuring faith-based improv and sketch teams is coming back September 27-28, 2019, at Cross Point Church in Lockport.

The inaugural PureFest was October 6, 2018, and saw teams from Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, and Denver, with audience members coming from as far away as Indianapolis and Atlanta. The festival showcased clean, family-friendly entertainment that was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd.

Anyone that is a part of a faith-based improv or sketch team is highly encouraged to plan on being a part of PureFest 2019. Team registrations will open January 2, 2019.

NEW THIS YEAR

2 Wild Card Improv options - Players that don't have a team ready to travel can sign up for the wild card option. This option will put players together to improvise with other improvisers for a one-time-only performance. There will be a long-form team and a short-form team under the Wild Card option.

Fellowship/Jam Night - All players will come together for a provided dinner, fellowship, worship, and an improv jam on Friday, September 27, at Cross Point Church. This will replace the open jam that closed out the 2018 event.

New Start Time - With the expected higher number of teams, we will begin the performances at 1pm on Saturday, September 28.

Wristbands - Due to the expected higher number of teams, the public will be given wristbands for in-and-out privileges during the event. We will stick to a schedule so that audience members can know when to be there to catch specific teams.
