Reed Students Raise Money For St. Jude Children's Hospital
Reed students were invited to complete a variety of math activities and seek sponsors to support their efforts.

LOCKPORT, IL — Reed School just wrapped up its annual St. Jude Mathathon event. The fundraiser raises funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and childhood cancers. The school said Reed students were invited to complete a variety of math activities and seek sponsors to support their efforts.
Donations raised were based on the activities that the students completed. The fundraiser ran from Jan. 8 through Feb. 9. This year, 22 students participated in the mathathon, raising a grand total of $3,584, the school said.
Reed Elementary School has raised $96,187.92 for St. Jude since 1998.
