Retail Theft, Car Stolen: Homer Glen, Lockport Blotter

Will County Sheriff's Office police reports through April 29.

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Lockport

  • Samuel Rodriguez, 28, of Justice, was arrested April 23 at Southwest Auto Salvage, 3451 S. State St., and charged with theft under $500. He was seen on video surveillance selling a cellphone that was stolen from a car at Southwest Auto Salvage.
  • Felicia Wiggins, 52, of the 2100 block of Fairview, was arrested April 18 in the 2100 block of Fairview and charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault.
  • The victim wanted to buy, via Ebay, a $1,500 camper in Utah. She reached out to the seller who told her to purchase Ebay gift cards as form of payment. The victim gave 15 Ebay gift card numbers and security codes over the phone to an unknown man. The victim was contacted later that day via email and was told that a hold was put on the transportation of the camper until another $1,000 in Ebay gift cards were sent as payment for shipping. The victim became suspicious and contacted the fraud department at Ebay.

Homer Glen

  • Enrique Diaz Guzman, 38, of Chicago, was arrested April 26 at Menards, 13956 S. Bell Road, and charged with retail theft.
  • An unknown white male with a distinct walk, in his 20s, thin, 5'7", and wearing white clothing was seen on security video on April 26 entering two unlocked cars in the 12000 block of West Derby Lane. He also tried to open the garage door with the keypad. A key fob was stolen from one of the cars.
  • The victim woke up around 3:20 a.m. April 29 because his dog was barking. He looked out the window and saw two black Ford Mustangs parked in the street with the drivers talking to each other. One car drove to the end of the street and came back. The victim then saw his 2019 Chevy Blazer was missing from the driveway in the 13000 block of South Hampton Court. Victim was not sure if the two Mustangs had anything to do with the vehicle theft, but found it odd.
  • Someone stole two purses from an unlocked car in the 15000 block of Ginger Lane on April 29. The purses were recovered by deputies in the road. A driver’s license, social security card, Windows tablet and miscellaneous credit cards were stolen.
