Scarecrow Lane Coming To Dellwood Park

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township Park District will host Scarecrow Lane Oct. 3 through Oct. 17 at Dellwood Park, at Route 171 and Woods Drive. Scarecrows will be placed along the path behind Challenge Fitness and the Dellwood Park Community Center, according to the park district.

If you'd like to create a scarecrow for the event, it is $20 and you must register by Sept. 27.

Voting on the scarecrows will take place Oct. 3 to Oct. 10, according to the park district. There will be a winner for each category: silliest, artistic, spookiest, and cartoon/character, with each winner receiving $200. The park district board of commissioners will choose the board award grand prize winner, who will receive $250.

Winners will be announced Oct. 11.
