Scarecrow Lane Returns To Dellwood Park

LOCKPORT, IL —As the spooky season approaches, Scarecow Lane will return to Dellwood Park in Lockport.

The Lockport Township Park District hosts the event, which displays scarecrows along the path behind Challenge Fitness and the Dellwood Park Community Center from Oct. 9 to Oct. 17.

If you would like to create a scarecrow, you can register at the park district website. It is $20 to enter, and you must do so by Oct. 3.

There are four categories for scarecrow judging: silliest, artistic, spookiest and cartoon/character. There is a $200 prize for each winner, and a "Board Award" grand prize of $250, according to the park district website.
