Slice Factory No Longer Opening In Lockport

No immediate reason was given on why the restaurant is no longer opening its doors in Lockport.

LOCKPORT, IL — Update: The Slice Factory, which was planning to open a Lockport location, will no longer open in the town, according to the business.

The business' website also no longer lists Lockport as a "coming soon" location.

Original post: Slice Factory, which offers pizza, wings and salads, will open its 11th location in Lockport on Aug. 1, according to a release from the business. The new restaurant, 1527 S. State St., is known for its jumbo slices of pizza, and is owned locally by Alberto Perez, the business said in a release.

“I’ve been involved with Slice Factory since 2018 and cannot be more thankful for the support the team has provided me. I’ve been motivated to grow not only as an entrepreneur, but also as a person,” said Perez, who’s served as both a general manager and company accountant for the brand. “Slice Factory creates an environment people want to be in, and I know the Lockport community will experience that as soon as they step through our doors.”

According to the business, it aims to inspire each employee by giving them a platform to learn and grow within the company. Five franchise locations are now owned by previous employees, the business said.

Slice Factory also has a strong commitment to community involvement with its “Pizza with Purpose” program, which helps hosts local fundraisers, philanthropic events and more, according to the business. Slice Factory also offers catering and fundraising options for all types of local organizations.

The restaurant offers specialty fries, wings, steakburgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, and even a giant 28-inch pizza to be enjoyed with 10 to 12 people, the business said.

Slice Factory has locations in Bolingbrook, Burbank, Oak Park, Evergreen Park, Melrose Park, Elmwood Park, Berywyn and three locations in Chicago. A Bellwood location is also coming soon.
