Stargazing Event Planned In Homer Glen

HOMER GLEN, IL — For those interested in the stars, a stargazing event will be held in Homer Glen on Friday, May 10. The event will be held at Heritage Park from 8 to 10 p.m. You can also come early at 7:30 p.m. and meet Sky the Red-tailed hawk in the community meeting room.

The village said the stargazing event includes free telescope viewing provided by the Kankakee Stargazers, the Naperville Astronomical Association, and the South West Astronomy Observers Group. Objects to see include the moon, Mars, M13 Globular Cluster, M3 Globular Cluster, various double stars and more.
