Sunflower Fields Closed In Homer Glen
The farm and garden center has closed its fields, but the farm stand remains open through the fall.
HOMER GLEN, IL — M&D Farms and Garden Center's popular sunflower fields have closed for the season, as of Monday, the business shared on its Facebook.
The farm stand, at 14946 S. Bell Road, opened its fields on Aug. 26, after it had to replant the fields this summer due to drought. Visitors flock to the field every year to take pictures among the yellow blooms.
The farm stand will remain open though the fall, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The business sells flats of flowers, plants, raw honey, and fruits and veggies like corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, pickles, zucchini and more, according to the business website.
