Three Men Steal Over $1,600 In Groceries From Homer Glen Meijer: Police
Three men from Chicago were arrested after stealing over $1,600 in groceries from a Homer Glen Meijer.

HOMER GLEN, IL — Three men from Chicago were arrested after stealing over $1,600 in groceries from the Homer Glen Meijer. Joshua Viner, 21; Tylis Walker, 20; and Rushde Nolte, 24; were all arrested for felony retail theft.
According to a release from Will County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to Meijer, 14169 S. Bell Road, around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday. They spoke to a loss prevention employee who stated that he was observing the in-store surveillance cameras when he saw three male individuals walking around the store, each with a shopping cart.
According to the release, after watching them for a while the employee went into the store and observed them acting suspicious. The employee then notified other employees to watch the exit doors.

The three men then put numerous items from the three carts, into two carts, according to a release. Two of the men went out one door, while the other individual went out another set of doors. The loss prevention employee followed the two individuals, later identified as Viner and Walker, and confronted them in the parking lot about not paying for the items. Viner and Walker pushed the cart at the employee and took off running.
According to the release, another employee observed the third individual, Nolte, get into a red Nissan and was able to write down the license plate number. Deputies were then called and given identifying information of the individuals, as well as for the vehicle. Deputies in the area were able to locate the vehicle near Bell Road and Anand Brook Drive in Homer Glen and observed four people inside the vehicle, three of whom matched the description of the suspects.

According to the release, a traffic stop was made and the three men, along with a 25-year-old female who was driving the vehicle, were brought in for questioning. Viner, Walker and Nolte were arrested for felony retail theft; the female was released without charges.
The amount of stolen merchandise was over $1,650 and consisted of frozen pizzas, chicken, cheese, lunch meats, various nuts, fruit, vegetables, hamburger, underwear, T-shirts, shorts, socks and other miscellaneous items.
According to Will County Sheriff's Inmate Search, all three men have a bail of $3,500 with 10 percent to apply. Viner and Walker are still in custody, according to the website.
