TRIAD Meeting Planned In Lockport

The meeting will provide information on how seniors can avoid senior fraud.

LOCKPORT, IL — A TRIAD meeting will be held in Lockport on Wednesday, June 19. The meeting will provide information on how seniors can avoid senior fraud. The meeting will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Lockport Police Department community room, 1212 S. Farrell Road.

Police said the Attorney General's Office has launched the Silver Beat educational program to help provide knowledge and tools to protect seniors from con artists and deceptive business practices.

Speakers will include the Illinois Attorney General Office and Lockport Crime Prevention Unit. There will also be coffee and refreshments.
