Trick-Or-Treating Hours Set In Lockport

Halloween is Monday, Oct. 31.

LOCKPORT, IL — With the official arrival of autumn, that means that Halloween is just a few short weeks away. In Lockport, trick-or-treating will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.

There are several spooky offerings on tap this year in Lockport, including HellsGate Haunted House.

The haunted house opens for the season on Sept. 30. HellsGate is a haunted mansion in the woods, known for its giant slide, and a chance to win free admission if you find a key during a specific portion of the haunted house.

The haunted house will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 21, 28, 29 and Nov. 4 and 5. It will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 22, 26, 27, 30 and 31, according to the business' website.

The Lockport Township Park District will kick off its Hayride of Horror and Curse of the Bayou haunted houses on Sept. 30 as well, and are held every Friday and Saturday through Oct. 29.

According to the park district, the Hayride of Horror rides through Dellwood Park while guests are spooked by creatures in the darkness. The Curse of the Bayou is a haunted maze, also at Dellwood Park. Both attractions are outdoors.
