Two Homer Glen Businesses Burglarized, Cash Stolen: Sheriff
Burglars shattered the front doors to two businesses and stole cash registers and money from both, police said.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Two businesses in Homer Glen were burglarized early Tuesday, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday to European Imports Food and Deli, 13017 W. 143rd St., and Mugshots Sports Bar & Grill, 13031 W. 143rd St., for the burglaries.
Police said the front glass door of European Imports had been shattered by a large landscaping brick. The burglars entered the story and took cash from two cash registers, police said.
Video surveillance was provided to police, and footage showed two people throw a brick through the door and enter the business at 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Video showed the two people remove two cash registers, leave the store, and then reenter to remove cash from a third cash register, police said.

The front glass door of Mugshots was also shattered with a landscaping brick, police said. The owner of the business told police he had received a call from his alarm company at 6:04 a.m.
Police said two cash registers with cash inside them were stolen. Video footage showed one man enter the bar after breaking the front door. The man was wearing a light-colored hoodie, black pants, a face mask and gloves, police said.

The man grabbed the cash registers and handed them to a second person, police said. The two people then got into a blue, two-door vehicle and left.
Police said the burglaries remain under investigation.
There were also six burglaries to businesses on 143rd Street in Orland Park during this time. Police said it appears the burglaries in Orland Park may be connected to the two in Homer Glen.
