Two LTHS Students Honored For PSAT Performance

Both students earned the awards based on their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT and the AP exam.

LOCKPORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lockport Township High School Board of Education honored two students for receiving awards from the College Board.

The board honored Kenadee Pitchford, who earned the National African American Recognition Award from the College Board; and Mireyna Ramos, who earned the National Hispanic Recognition Award from the College Board.

Both students earned the awards based on their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT and the AP exam.

Superintendent Robert McBride said 3 million students took the PSAT/NMSQT last year, and Pitchford and Ramos scored in the top one percent.
