Urgent Action Required: Stop the 143rd Street Expansion Project

Dear Homer Township Residents,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you who attended the recent special meeting regarding the 143rd Street Expansion Project. Your active participation and invaluable input are crucial in shaping the decisions that affect our community. If you were not able to attend, you can find a link to the video here.
We appreciate the residents who voiced their concerns about the project, highlighting its potential impact on our community. Your dedication to preserving the character and well-being of our township is truly commendable.
In order to make a collective impact and halt the 143rd Street Expansion Project, it is imperative that we take immediate action. We kindly request that each resident send emails expressing their concerns to the following recipients:

Additionally, to ensure the impact of your concerns is maximized, we urge you to specify that your email be read into record at BOTH the County Public Works and Transportation Committee Meeting scheduled for February 6, 2024, AND the Will County Board Meeting scheduled for February 15, 2024.
The February 6 meeting is at 302 N. Chicago in Joliet. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. with sign-in to speak beginning at 8:40 a.m. (located on the 2nd floor).
If we win the vote at this committee, the issue will move to the full Board for a final vote on February 15th at 9:30 a.m. with sign-in to speak beginning at approximately 9:10 a.m.
