Virtual Clean-Up Planned For Homer Glen Lands Day
Residents can help pick up litter in parks, along roads, near businesses or in your neighborhood, according to the Village.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen is holding a virtual clean-up event to celebrate Homer Glen Lands Day from Oct. 4 to Oct. 10.
Residents can help pick up litter in parks, along roads, near businesses or in your neighborhood, according to the Village. Gloves, trash bags, grabbers and maps can be picked up at Village Hall.
If you do help clean up, you can email a picture of your efforts to mking@homerglenil.org, and you will be invited to a catered event with the Environment Committee and other clean-up volunteers.

According to the Village, Homer Glen Lands Day first started in 2002. The Environment Committee also plants a tree on public property every year to recognize the day.
