Volunteers Needed For Park District's Military History Weekend

The park district said it is looking for front gate greeters, crowd control, veteran refreshment tent volunteers and more.

LOCKPORT, IL — Volunteers are needed for the Lockport Township Park District's upcoming military history weekend. The event will be held Sept. 11 and Sept. 12 and will include live music and entertainment, a veterans hospitality tent, and Civil War, World War II and Vietnam War reenactments.

The park district said it is looking for front gate greeters, crowd control, veteran refreshment tent volunteers and veteran seating area volunteers. Multiple shifts are available, and you can fill out a form online if interested.

The event is held at Dellwood Park, 199 E. Woods Drive. It is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, older adults 55+ and veterans.
