We need all Will County residents' help. The voice of the people needs to be heard. Today it is Homer; next, it could be where you live.

Homer Township has been instrumental in the stoppage of the 143rd St. expansion in Homer Township. There have been countless hours of opposing testimony, town hall meetings, and committee hearings, and finally, votes were taken by the full Will County Board to cease the project. The board vote was 12-9 to cease the project.

The County Executive signed the resolution validating the cessation of the 143rd St. project. Almost three days later, the Will County Executive decided she didn't want to sign it and claimed it was a mistake, although it had already been certified by the County Clerk. This is not how the government runs.

Residents need to make their voices heard.

We are asking every Will County resident who cares about a representative government that when the will of the people speaks and votes are taken, those in power cannot just do whatever they want.

Please come on March 14th to the Will County Executive Committee Meeting to let your feelings be known. That this 12-9 vote by the board members should be accepted, and the parlor tricks by the County Executive and her staff will not work.
