White Oak Library Supports Local Artists

Gallery Seven Exhibits at the Library

The White Oak Library’s Lockport Branch is thrilled to be the recipient of a revolving art display being provided by their good friends at Gallery Seven. The local fine arts gallery located in the Gaylord Building is loaning a selection of their co-op artists’ photography and paintings that are being displayed on the 2nd floor of the Library’s lobby. Currently, there are eight prints on display by local artists Richard Ainsworth, Jennifer Petric, Michael Veltman, Donna Nevels, Barbara Eberhard, Marianne Folise, Jon Balke, and Jay Anderson.

The displays, which will be changed quarterly, are being curated by volunteer Richard Ainsworth. The prints are a lovely addition to what was previously a sort of tabula rasa – actually a blank wall -- and the Library is doubly pleased to be able support local artists. In addition, all pieces are for sale, and interested buyers may contact the Gallery. The Gallery is open to the public for browsing on Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12 to 5 pm and on Sundays from 12 to 3 pm. For more information, visit them on the Web at galleryseven.net.
