Will County Sheriff Participates In Holiday Enforcement Campaign
The impaired driving holiday awareness campaign ends Jan. 3.
WILL COUNTY, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office is participating in a statewide impaired driving awareness campaign which will end Jan. 3.
"Driving impaired, whether under the influence of alcohol or drugs, can have catastrophic consequences and is illegal in every state," Traffic Sergeant Lakomiak said in a release. "Not only do you put yourself at risk, but the lives of others as well. It is our hope that everyone enjoys the holidays safely."
If your celebration involves alcohol or other impairing substances, plan ahead for a sober ride home and remember to buckle up, the sheriff's office said.
