2 People Shot, Flossmoor Police Investigating

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor police are investigating a report of gunshot victims in the early morning hours Saturday.

At approximately 2:53 a.m. on August 22, Flossmoor Police responded to a report of gunshot victims in the 1700 block of Princeton Road. Upon arrival, officers saw several vehicles in the area and secured the 1700 block of Princeton Road as part of the investigation. Officers found no victims at that location.

Two people suffering from gunshot wounds subsequently arrived at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, police said. No additional information regarding the victims was available as of Saturday morning.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting the Flossmoor Police Department with this ongoing investigation to see if these two events are connected.

Police said there is no immediate threat to the public and that additional information will be released as it becomes available and when appropriate.
