33rd Annual Free Family Health Fair May 21 in Matteson

Year after year, the Southland Health Fair is a community favorite.

Take advantage of more than 25 free health screenings at the 33rd Annual Southland Health Fair Saturday, May 21, at the Matteson Community Center in Matteson.

Sponsored by Ingalls Health System with support from the Rotary Club of Homewood, the 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. fair features an array of free screenings, including total cholesterol; 12-lead EKGs (for people over 30 years); cancer screenings for skin, colon, and breast health; screenings for arthritis, back, neck and joint pain; allergy testing; vision exams; hearing screenings; mini massages; and more.

A $10 lipid profile (which requires a 12-hour fast) also will be offered, along with many other discounted blood tests, including prostate, thyroid and glucose screenings.

To save time, you can register ahead at Ingalls.org/HealthFair, but appointments aren’t required. All are welcome; there are no residency restrictions.
