4 Wounded In Bishop Ford Expressway Shooting Near 159th Street

Illinois State Police continue an investigation into the incident.

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL — Four men were apparently shot while in a car on the Bishop Ford Expressway Sunday night, according to information from the Illinois State Police. The four victims admitted themselves to a local hospital before police responded to the scene on Interstate 94 at 159th Street near South Holland after the car they were apparently in was found to have been abandoned.

There is "speculation" the four men were possibly involved in the same shooting, Illinois State Police said in a news release. All the injuries are considered non-life threatening, according to police. The investigation continues.

Police had the northbound lanes of I-94 closed for an hour beginning at 1:30 a.m. Monday as the investigation began.
