50 Combined Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Homewood, Flossmoor
The Cook County Department of Public Health is reporting 26 confirmed cases in Homewood and 24 in Flossmoor.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A Cook County Department of Public Health map has shown the number of confirmed coronavirus cases by town. As of 8 p.m. on April 3, this report shows 26 confirmed cases in Homewood and 24 in Flossmoor.
Some nearby towns have reported higher numbers. South Holland had 51, Chicago Heights had 43 and Country Club Hills had 37 at the time.

The village of Homewood has released another statement regarding the three paramedics who were exposed to someone in town who later tested positive for the coronavirus. Apparently, the paramedics are in self-quarantine as the Center for Disease Control guidelines call for a 14-day quarantine in these situations, but the fire department remains fully staffed and operational.
"The Village of Homewood is following the CDCs guidelines for employees exposed to Covid-19 to self-quarantine for 14 days. Currently, the Homewood Fire Department is adequately staffed using part and full time paramedics."
