Advocate South Suburban Hospital announces MVP winners for fourth quarter 2015
The MVP (Mission, Values and Philosophy) Program recognizes associates, physicians and volunteers who go above and beyond.

Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill., recently honored its MVP Value Leaders for the four quarter of 2015. The MVP (Mission, Values and Philosophy) Program recognizes associates, physicians and volunteers who go above and beyond in demonstrating Advocate Health Care’s core values of Compassion, Excellence, Partnership, Equality and Stewardship.
Compassion – Barbara Jensen (Beecher, IL) was recognized for assisting a young breast cancer patient whose insurance refused to cover fertility preservation treatments before she began chemotherapy. Jensen researched until she found a local family foundation that offered to help offset the costs for the young woman.
Excellence – Tiffany Marshall (Orland Hills, Ill.) helped a patient get needed care, despite some initial confusion about the tests that needed to be run. Marshall made several phone calls to clarify the doctor’s orders, ultimately getting the patient in for an urgent scan despite a full schedule, and ensuring the patient received the best care possible.

Equality – Dr. Jayant Ginde (Chicago) was recognized by fellow associates for his dedication to and compassion for both his patients and coworkers. He was commended for staying late when needed, explaining things carefully and completely, and treating all with respect and dignity.
Partnership – Amanda Bosch (Crete, Ill.), Denita Rather (Flossmoor , Ill.), Therese Krischunas (Crown Point, Ind.) and Margaret Schultz (South Chicago Heights, Ill.) helped a patient receive needed and urgent care under tight time constraints. When other facilities said it couldn’t be done, they welcomed the patient in, rushed the orders and went above and beyond to help her receive the care she needed and still make an important flight that evening.
