Agamemnon To Alexander The Great: Greek Masterworks in Chicago

Thursday, March 10 from 7:00-8:30pm. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Avenue (Helen Wilson Meeting Room)

Over winter and spring, The Field Museum hosts a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition spanning more than 5,000 years of Greek culture from its Neolithic origins to its expansion into Asia and Africa under Alexander The Great. Drawn from the collections of 23 Greek museums, it is the largest exhibition on the ancient Greeks in North America in over two decades. Dr. Jeff Mishur from Art Excursions will discuss a selection of objects from this exhibition. Most of these stunning ancient works of art have never been displayed outside of Greece.
